Unimpressed.
Was looking for a place to do some reading and writing while I have coffee & breakfast, and I had never been here so I was excited to give it a try.
Pros: very friendly staff, yummy coffee, cool artwork by local artists
Cons: the place was messy and dirty, the bagel on my sandwich had to have been frozen before it was toasted because it took a week and a half to chew one bite of it, the artwork was all crooked, no comfy seating options
Sadly, I found no compelling reason to return unless I'm in the area and desperately need a decent coffee.
I absolutely love this little cafe! Every barista I've met has been lovely and warm and kind. Some of them also have visible tattoos, which really makes me happy to see. If you like coffee and are tired of the burnt roasts at Starbucks, DEFINITELY give these guys a shot!
Iโve been here twice now to meet with a few friends. The first time I was not impressed with the coffee, and very disappointed with the food. I got a crepe with bacon, avocado, ranch, and a few other fillings. It was very lackluster and ordinary. However my second visit was a lot better, the coffee (I got a caramel latte) was a pretty good drink, although syrup forward, and the foam was very thick and nice on top. I also loved the food much more my second time. I got the โlox on a bagelโ which is a bit adventurous for my taste but I actually loved it. This however does not attest to the restaurants ability to provide deliciously cooked food because the dish was unassembled, and was a bunch of ingredients that I actually put together myself as I ate.
Would still like to go back and see if I can find a menu item that is assembled and cooked by the restaurant thatโs actually good. As for right now I think 4 stars just about covers it.
What a cool little cafe with coffee and a whole menu of sandwiches, burritos, pizza and more. The food was tasty and the staff was very friendly. Lots of art on the walls and some other small items for sale in the middle of the place.
Wasn't told until after I got my food that they were out of the sauces they put on the sandwich, so I was served a bland frozen chicken breast sandwich with bland avocado spread, microwaved bacon and way too much spinach. Ham egg and cheese croissant was good. Chips served with sandwiches were cheap, wavy plain potato and were bottom of the bag crumbs. Just cut the chips and let us pay for a bag of chips of our choice. Other patrons were served on a real plate, but for some reason, we got paper plates. A lot of handwritten rules are posted around as well. Corners were cut!
A very welcoming place! The tea and coffee are excellent and so is the food. The tomato bisque soup is delicious and my dad loves the chicken salad. My mom always orders the bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich which is wonderful. The bacon is cooked just right. We love Deer Creek!
